Strategy: Russia’s drone system market to exceed 50 bln rbl in 2023

MOSCOW, Jun 28 (PRIME) -- Russia’s market of unmanned aerial systems will exceed 50 billion rubles in 2023, an unmanned aviation strategy till 2035 said on Wednesday.

“Exports of unmanned aerial systems reached up to 600 million rubles in 2018–2022 and went to Sudan (62%), Venezuela (12%), Uzbekistan (9%), and other countries,” the strategy read.

First Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Vasily Osmakov said that the share of local unmanned aerial systems will grow to 70% by 2030 and to 80% by 2035 from 22% at present.

“The key goal is to create a full-fledged industry of use of civil drones and achieve technological independence in the industry of their manufacturing,” he said.

The strategy says people can be carried by unmanned aerial vehicles in the future.
